AGA Summer Skate Park Series to award over $500 in cash and prizes to top ‘shredders in Ludington!

City of Ludington to offer children 12 and under a FREE AGA Learn to Skate Clinic prior to Skateboard competitions

Metro Detroit - Action sports entertainment company, Adrenaline Games Alliance (AGA), announced the third AGA Summer Skate Park Series stop in Ludington, Michigan, home of The Skate Plaza. Coming off the heels of an action packed skate and BMX competition in Grand Haven, the Ludington skateboard jam takes place, Saturday, July 11th, 2:30 – 9:00 p.m. Skateboard registration starts at 4:00 p.m. AGA and Ludington specific sponsors include Boost Mobile, Argue Communications, Hungry Howie’s Pizza, Monster Energy, U.S. Army, Days Inn and Sportsman Pub downtown.

AGA leaders in the chase for the AGA Cup include Jon Depoion (advance/skate, 120 points); Ben Fisher (BMX, 60 points) and Tevin Lee, (intermediate/skate, 80 points).

Pro Skateboarder, Garold Vallie and owner from Prpl Hrt Skateboards will be on hand to host and MC the AGA Summer Skate Park series stop. John Kight team rider with Reliance Skateboards will also be on hand to assist with the Free to Learn to Skateboard Clinic.

As part of the Ludington ‘Series stop, local businessman and Owner of IOS Entertainment, Jeremy VerStrat, is throwing his support for community youth behind the event in a big way. Some of VerStrat’s ventures with IOS originating in Hawaii include MTV’s Rock The Vote, the 2006 NFL Pro Bowl, American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life, concert sound staff, 5 star corporate events & weddings, and night club promotion with talent from all over the world. AGA’s Ludington stop will also serve host to the unveiling of Ludington’s Local Music Collective, consisting of original local music artists, three of which will be performing live throughout the day. Series Guest DJ for the day. VerStrat will be on site starting at 2:00 p.m. playing action sports music as well as coordinating the band’s performances throughout the day.

Maniacal:With radio savvy hip-hop scorchers, and her nationwide CD release, Maniacal of 29/31 Entertainment has truly earned her performances.

The Bunny Skulls:

Ludington natives Scott Bentz, and Jim Bob Ewing, have played with bands from distant locals such as Amsterdam, Tokyo, Germany, and Italy.

Positive Noise:One of the most influential Punk bands in the northern Midwest.

Erased From Existance:Charter members of the Local Music Collective, Extreme music for extreme sports!

The event is FREE for those who wish to skate or watch the Ludington Skate Plaza competition. For Ludington athletes who wish to compete for AGA Cup points and cash, registration is $10 to residents ($15 for registration and t-shirt). AGA class/age divisions featuring Jam competition format in Skateboard classes include:

  • Boost Mobile Old Skool Open (advanced). CASH division.
  • AGA Jr. Jam. (amateur, all ages, intermediate). Product giveaways

The AGA Cup makes it debut this year, including a year long points system for both AGA Skateboard and BMX competitors. Points will be awarded as follows:

  • 1st place per event, each division – 50 points per AGA competition event
  • 2nd place per event, each division – 25 points
  • 3rd place per event, each division – 20 points

The Adrenaline Games Alliance is a Michigan based company producing original action sports events. ‘The Alliance’ seeks to support future development for action sports athletes as well as emerging musical artists by hosting new events in venues of all sizes. Seeking to compliment the existing action, ‘extreme’ sports properties, the AGA looks to serve as a development system and authority for athletes of all ages and skill levels.
