AGA kicked-off the Labor Day weekend in Romeo, Michigan, home of the Michigan Peach Festival. Village of Romeo Police Department and Officer Lynda Blevins invited the AGA and pro Skateboarder, garold Vallie to town for the day. State Farm agent, Matt Waligora distributed over 65 helmets along with State Farm Care Bear. In addition, Romeo-Washington- Bruce Park and Recreation staff handed out over 50 free t-shirts for AGA Learn to Skate Clinic attendees. Following the clinic, garold Vallie signed posters, skate decks and helmets while Anime to Skateboards hosted a Game of Skate for the advance athletes.

Capping the day off with 60 points towards the AGA Cup and 1st place was local Romeo skater, Casey Tapia. Tapia was followed by Dominic Stefani of Shelby Township and Adam Skelly from Romeo who took home 2nd and 3rd place respectively in the AGA Jr. Jam, intermediate division.

Tapia is now in 3 way tie for 2nd place behind Chase for the AGA Cup Leader, Tevin Lee who currently stands atop with 130 total points this season.

Next stop and seventh in the AGA Summer Skate Park Series will be Saturday, September 12th in Dearborn Heights, home of Transitions Skate Park. Registration for both Skateboard and BMX starts at 4:00 p.m. AGA Jr. Jam (intermediate) will lead off the competition for the day followed by Boost Mobile advance divisions for both Skate and BMX.
