Skate, BMX Schedule for National State Games- Grand Rapids

Less than 2 weeks away as the National State Games takes over downtown Grand Rapids. Over 14,000 athletes are expected to compete in over 50 different competitions. A.G.A. Nation will once again sanction the skateboard and Freestyle BMX competition. Over $1,000 in AGA Cup cash and prizes to be awarded in both advance and intermediate divisions respectively.  Weekend’s schedule as follows:

Friday, August 4th, 7:30 p.m. –  Opening Games Ceremonies and Parade of Athletes – Van Andel Arena, Grand Rapids, MI

2:00 – 7:00 pm – Athlete Village at Rosa Parks Circle and Energy Alley in DeVos Place. Enjoy music, entertainment, foods trucks and more at Rosa Parks Circle. Visit the Athlete Village Page for more information.

6:30 pm – Parade of Athletes staging will begin and doors will open for spectators. Athletes will line up by state outside of Van Andel Arena on Ottawa Ave SW. All athletes that walk in the parade must have an Opening Ceremony ticket. Parents, coaches, and guardians with Opening Ceremony tickets are encouraged to walk with younger athletes in the Parade. Spectators please proceed to the main doors of Van Andel Arena.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 5TH-  Skateboard, BMX competition at DeVos Place Convention Center 303 Monroe Ave. NW Grand Rapids, MI

11:30 a.m. – On-site Registration – $10.000 to compete and ride. (includes FREE AGA T-shirt – while supplies last)

1:00 p.m. –  Skateboard intermediate – Prizes, Gold, Silver, Bronze medals to be awarded

2:00 p.m. – Skateboard Advance –  AGA Cup $, Gold, Silver, Bronze medals to be awarded

3:00 p.m. – BMX Intermediate – Prizes, Gold, Silver Bronze medals to be awarded

4:00 p.m. – BMX Advance – AGA Cup $, Gold, Silver, Bronze medals to be awarded
