Bikes, Boards n Beach Series
Hitting this Great Lakes beaches this summer, AGA Nation is combining its two mobile action sports parks into one location! Two state of the art mobile ramp set-ups including a one of kind skateboard/BMX park along with a urban snowboard ski-set-up headline this year’s Bikes, Boards and Beach Series.
The Bikes, Boards N Beach Series’ leads off in Grand Haven, Michigan Friday, June 20th and Saturday, June 21. This will mark the 6th year in a row AGA Nation has hosted in Grand Haven, featuring the State Games of Michigan championships for skateboarders and BMX riders. Cash purse, prizes, celebrity appearances and competition format to be announced leading up to the weekend. Grand Haven sponsors include Spectrum Health, Glik’s and Grand Haven Main Street.
“We are very excited about 2014 summer season,” said Ron Thomas, AGA Nation partner. “Not only are going to have our annual skateboard/BMX comps this summer, but we are now adding our unique snowboard park too!”. As part of the State Games of Michigan, skateboard and BMX riders will compete for State Games medal, cash and great prizes.
New to the AGA Nation action sports event line-up but not to great beach events will be Racine, Wisconsin. ‘Real Racine’ will be the site of the Bikes, Boards n Beach Series 2014 finale Friday, August 1st, and Saturday, August 2nd.
In addition to Saturday’s competition, Friday, August 1st will showcase the Rise Above BMX team in high flying demos, as well as opening riding, music and more. Saturday cash prizes and additional events, announcements and more to be announced in the coming months.
Thomas recently came back from a visit from Racine, Wisconsin and had this to say. “Racine is a perfect fit for the ‘Beach Series. Riders will love our mobile ramps right next to the beach as well as the crowds. Being on Lake Michigan, near downtown Racine, as well as having a skate park nearby- the entire weekend will be a blast”.
Additional future dates including 2015 stops in the Southeast region will be announced later this year. Each ‘Series stop includes cash prizes and sponsor swag going to the podium finishers at each round. Winners for both skateboard and BMX, intermediate and advance divisions will also vie for AGA Cup bragging rights including the chance to engrave their names with past champions including Autteish Danger, Malcolm Forbes, Ben Fisher, Jon ‘Deezle’ Depoian, Pat Ellis and more!
