What an amazing experience I had this past few months! Back in November of 2012 I had an idea for a TV show. It was essentially American Chopper meets Action Sports, we are calling it Xtreme Builders. After attempting to create the show myself and developing the idea for over a year, this past winter we shot the official pilot.
There are few moments in life when it feels like the stars align and things just work….but this was definitely one of them. I can’t yet discuss the details of what we built but what I can say is the moment I saw the finished product out side of the shop I knew we were on to something. Who knows where this will go for sure but it was almost as if, until this past weekend, I thought this becoming a TV show was a silly, unrealistic ambition. But then we finished the build. Wow.
I love dreaming up wacky ideas and then bringing them to life. This build exceeded my expectations and was the most fun I’ve had in a long time. I’m sure what I built this time will get around soon enough but for now I am just kind of soaking in this moment. Me, my brother in law, Seth, Kurt and the guys from MR2 productions….I think we’ve really created something special this time. When we release the video I hope you all enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.
