Spectrum Health Medical Group signs on as
‘Official Sports Medicine, Orthopedics provider to AGA Nation’
Action sports entertainment company, AGA Nation (www.aganation.com), and Spectrum Health Medical Group (SHMG) today announced a multi-year partnership agreement that will see SHMG serve as the action sports specialists for select events, online initiatives, community programs and athlete care. The agreement is in place until 2015.

With more than 530 providers, Spectrum Health Medical Group (www.shmg.org)is the region’s largest multi-specialty medical group, offering extensive services and specialties to care for patients throughout West Michigan.
“We are very proud to be partnering with AGA Nation to provide quality, coordinated health-care services to action sports athletes everywhere,” said Dr. Matthew Axtman. “It’s a relationship that we hope to build upon in the future as the Spectrum Health Medical Group continues to add physicians and specialties.” Axtman and Dr. James Lebolt will both serve as the primary orthopedic physicians to AGA Nation.
AGA Nation will also be supported by Athletic Trainer- Physician Extender Matt Vinnal, who will supervise the health care of action sports athletes at contests and special events.
